Help us get Side Quest off the ground in Maine.

Side Quest creates low-pressure ways for kids to find their people through things they already love — board games, LEGO, Minecraft, books, making things, campfires, and other creative adventures.

It was built especially with quirky, quiet, creative, and neurodivergent kids in mind: kids who may find traditional social activities difficult but connect much more naturally when there's something interesting to do together.

We launched 6 weeks ago. 43 Maine families have already signed up.

The families are here. Now we're building the foundation to serve them.

What we're building

Our first round of sponsorship will help cover the startup costs that turn Side Quest from a good idea into a lasting local community:

A Side Quest Clubhouse

A cozy gathering space with couches, rugs, tables, games, books, creative materials, and room for kids to hang out without having to perform socially.

A private online community

A place where parents can find upcoming quests, discover families with shared interests, organize meetups, and stay connected between gatherings.

Safe, sustainable operations

Getting Side Quest established — forming the business, liability insurance, banking, and the basic systems we need to operate responsibly and keep growing.

More quests for more kids

Meeting spaces, activity supplies, games, snacks, materials, and other costs that make low-pressure gatherings possible.

Help launch the first year

We're looking for a small group of Maine businesses that want to help build Side Quest from the beginning.

Founding Partner

$2,500

We're seeking five Maine businesses to provide the initial funding that gets Side Quest up and running.

  • Recognized as one of the businesses that helped make Side Quest possible from the beginning
  • Prominent recognition on the Side Quest website and in our community
  • We'll work with you to find a connection that makes sense for your business — a particular kind of quest, a community you serve, or something we haven't thought of yet

Founding Local Partner

$500 – $1,000

For local businesses that want to help Side Quest take root in their own community.

  • Recognition on the Side Quest website and in communications with participating families
  • A few hundred dollars can pay for something very real: insurance, games and materials, a piece of furniture for the clubhouse, or the costs of getting a new quest started

Other ways to help

Some businesses are especially well positioned to make a particular piece of Side Quest possible:

Books. Games. LEGO bricks. Art supplies. Furniture. Food. Printing. Outdoor gear. Sensory tools. Places to gather. Expertise.

If your company makes or does something Side Quest could use, we'd love to talk. We're already exploring partnerships around board games, engineering, outdoor adventures, books, sensory-friendly spaces, and other interests our kids love.

This is a sponsorship

Side Quest is so new that we're not yet a nonprofit. We're looking for businesses interested in a marketing and community partnership, not a charitable contribution.

Our goal is simple: build something genuinely useful for Maine families and give the businesses that helped create it meaningful recognition within the community they're helping us build.

Chip in directly

Want to help but not looking for a sponsorship level? A smaller contribution goes straight to the real things quests need — room rentals, insurance, games, and supplies.

Fund one year of MailChimp

So Side Quest parents can stay up to date on Side Quest events. ($240)

Side Quest isn't a nonprofit yet, so contributions aren't tax-deductible — they just go straight to making quests happen.

Let's build it together

43 Maine families found Side Quest in our first 6 weeks. We'd love to have your business be one of the reasons we're able to say yes to the next 43.
